Robert (Cheesecake) Boyles

Robert “Cheesecake” Lee Boyles was born on November 10, 1965 in High Point, North Carolina to Mary Grogan and Robert Boyles Sr., and passed away at age 52 on July 31, 2018 in Bellingham, Washington in a motorcycle accident. Robert served in the Army National Guard from 1982 to 1988 and worked at Lynden Sheet Metal as an HVAC technician.

The Bellingham American Legion Post 7 and the American Legion Riders quickly became Robert’s new family when he and Lisa moved to Bellingham from Ohio in 2014. Robert lived life to the fullest. He said that he was checking things off his bucket list he didn’t even know were on it. He got to do things like snowmobiling, fishing for salmon and his favorite….crabbing, while in Washington. Robert became an avid cribbage player and was always ready to sing Karaoke. His Harley was his baby and rode every chance he could get. He was always had a smile and a hug waiting for you when you saw him. No women ever opened a door when he was around unless they wanted to be scolded. Robert’s southern charm affected all of us.

Robert is survived by his wife Lisa Boyles, his father Robert Boyles Sr., his son Randy Boyles; daughter Sharon McManus; sisters Gina Foster and Traci Lynch, and his brother John Scheck.
