The Legion Riders would like to thank everyone that came out to support us in our first ever Legion Rider Craft Bazaar in November!
Thank you to the Vendors that purchased table space, the businesses that donated gift certificates, the individuals that donated items for the silent auction, those that put together baskets for us to auction off, the folks that spent time individually wrapping baked goods, setting up and tearing down, advertising for us and all the kids (and adults) who got their picture taken with Santa and his Harley!
We wanted to give back to our local children the way one of our recently lost Riders (John Fassett) did and so we started the John Fassett Scholarship fund to give to a local high school senior that shows the same heart for community service as he did and to raise enough to send a kid or two to camp for a week at Royal Family Kid’s Camp next summer (A camp for abused and neglected children.)
Originally we had hoped to raise at least $250 for our scholarship fund so we could give a deserving high school graduate a little something to thank them for their giving heart and help get them off to college with a little help…
But because of everyone that helped and donated…not only did we beat that goal of $250 for ONE graduating high school senior…but we raised enough to give 3 KIDS a $500 scholarship EACH and over $1800 to go toward sending kids to RFKC next summer!
Thank you. All of you!
