The Legion Riders would like to thank everyone that came out to support us in our first ever Legion Rider Craft Bazaar in November!
Thank you to the Vendors that purchased table space, the businesses that donated gift certificates, the individuals that donated items for the silent auction, those that put together baskets for us to auction off, the folks that spent time individually wrapping baked goods, setting up and tearing down, advertising for us and all the kids (and adults) who got their picture taken with Santa and his Harley!
We wanted to give back to our local children the way one of our recently lost Riders (John Fassett) did and so we started the John Fassett Scholarship fund to give to a local high school senior that shows the same heart for community service as he did and to raise enough to send a kid or two to camp for a week at Royal Family Kid’s Camp next summer (A camp for abused and neglected children.)
Originally we had hoped to raise at least $250 for our scholarship fund so we could give a deserving high school graduate a little something to thank them for their giving heart and help get them off to college with a little help…
But because of everyone that helped and donated…not only did we beat that goal of $250 for ONE graduating high school senior…but we raised enough to give 3 KIDS a $500 scholarship EACH and over $1800 to go toward sending kids to RFKC next summer!
Thank you. All of you!

The Legion Riders had the privilege of volunteering at a concert that was put on at Hillcrest Chapel – to raise some money to help send local and abused children to summer camp this year.
“Hear Our Voices” was a wonderful concert with a whole lot of talented musicians who gathered together and donated their time and they raised over $13,000!

Please join us on November 17th, 2013 for our first annual Legion Riders Craft Bazaar, Bake Sale, Auction and Fund raiser for the John Fassett Memorial Scholarship fund and Royal Family Kids Camp!
Bring your children by for fun craft projects and let them get their photos taken with Santa and his Motorcycle (Or without Santa – for those that aren’t too fond of the Jolly ol Fellow!) and enjoy browsing some local artists and craftsters for some hand made gifts to give for the Holidays!
We will have a silent auction with a variety of gift certificates from local businesses and donated items as well as a bake sale for those of you with a sweet tooth!
All proceeds from the Silent Auction, Bake Sale and Vendor table fees will be split between the John Fassett Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Royal Family Kid’s Camp.
If you are interested in donating an item for the auction or baked goods or would like to inquire about getting a vendor table to sell your items – please contact:

Please help us raise some money to help local abused and neglected children and to reward a local 2014 graduating high school senior for being the kind of person that reaches out into their community and shares the same big heart for helping others that John did.
Let the festivities begin!
Please join the Legion Riders at Post 7 for our very first Tricycle Races for Royal Family Kids Camp!
We will “rev our engines” after the Remembrance Run on September 7th, 2013 at Post 7 in Bellingham WA and see how much we can raise to help local abused and neglected children get to camp next year! For more information on Royal Family Kids Camp – please visit this page.

The Legion Riders, along with the Sons of the American Legion (SAL) and the American Legion – donated a combined $2000 toward Royal Family Kids Camp during Kafe 104.1’s “Drive by Giving” fund raising campaign this morning!
Royal Family Kids Camp (RFKC) is a wonderful organization here in town that provides a week long positive and safe camp experience to abused and neglected children in our community. These children come from very broken homes and many have spent their entire lives in foster care or at the hands of abusive parents or caregivers. This camp experience gives them a much needed break from their emotionally draining daily lives and puts them into a setting where they can be free to express their feelings, feel safe and enjoy being a kid again.
If you would like to join the Legion in sponsoring a child and sending them to camp this year – please visit the RFKC Page and make a donation.
